Fished the last three mornings, including this morning, from the bank in Guntersville and caught the limit each day. Fished Browns creek bridge using jigs under a cork and tight-line. Fish hit from 5-10 feet deep. Bass assassin colors used were crystal shad, opening night, albino shad, arkansas shiner, black shad, salt and pepper, red/chartreuse, well, just about any color I tried. The best hit was between about 5:30am and 8:30am from the bank. Boats were still catching some after that time slot though. My fish averaged about 9.5 to 11 inches, but I did see others catching a few larger and my better fish were around 3/4 to a pound. All were black crappie.
This bridge is getting heavy bank and boat traffic, so you have to get there early and I am pretty sure they are hitting at just about all the causeway bridges around Guntersville.
Sorry, didn't measure the surface temp, but who cares when they are hitting! (grin)
Good luck and good fishin'
