I know this is the North Alabama Fishing Forum, but, I'm sure lots of people like me travel to spots south of here to fish. I spent Sat afternoon and Sun morning on the Alabama River and caught more than my share of crappie. It was almost to easy. I was catching crappie anywere from 5' to 8' deep, and anywere from the main channel to right on the bank. It did not seem to matter if my minnow was in the middle of a tree top or 10' from the top. I guess the cooler temps have the cappie feeding. If anyone has the time, the Alabama River is a great place to fill your freezer right now.
