LAKE LEVEL: 563.9
NORMAL FULL POOL: 564.0
SURFACE TEMP: 84.8 in am to 86 in pm
WATER CLARITY: Good Chatooga still slightly stained
CRAPPIE: Crappie fishing has picked up a little. Catching them on the old river channel about 10-12 ft deep right on the
break-line. Minnows are your best bet.
BASS: Bass fishing has also picked up a little taste. There is a hint of fall in the morning air. Carolina rig and electric blue still seem
to be your best color.Bite pretty good from day-break until about 10.30. and again about 4:30 pm until dark. Starting to see a little
bit of school activity. Mostly tournament size fish.
WHITE BASS: Most of the white bass activity is around the Cornwall Furnace area of the Chatooga.Best bet is still rooster tails and
little george's.At times there are a large amount of small stripes ( 1-2 lbs.) with the white bass and when you find them you can just
CATFISH: About all you want to catch at night using cut bait.Jugs or trot line.
STRIPE: A few stripe are starting to show up down on the lower end of the lake. Trolling shad rap's and the little fishy.Some of them
going 12-20 lbs.When they are generating, due pretty good on the rocky point just as you start into the Powerhouse cut.Some of
these fish are pretty good fish.We have had enough rain to keep the oxygen content good and high.Expect fishing to just get better
as time goes on.
