An umbrella rig looks like an umbrella with the fabric stipped off,leaving four metal vanes coming off a center attachment for your line. Each vane has attachments for two short steel leaders or lengths of line to whih you tie on a bucktail jig of varying sizes. You troll this rig thru the water and its a great imitator of a school of fish. Captain Steve of S and S Guide Service took me and 2 friends out 2 Julys ago on Smith and I landed my biggest fish ever, 19 lbs, on the U-Rig. Give him a call for an on the water demonstration.He has a web page but the address escapes me,though he has posted here before.
