Lake Down 0.1 Feet & Steady, 79 to 82 Degree's & Clear.
As the water temperature climbs into the 80's the stripe are starting to cruse the open water in the main lake in search of shad and the trolling bite has really picked up. Try 1 ounce White bucktail jigs either downrigged 25 to 30 feet or on leadcore line 5 to 6 colors back for best results. The heat drives many fisherman to night fishing and live shad and/or bream down lined 24 to 28 feet around the lights also taking some nice fish.
Congratulations to Big Dave & his son Chad for this nice catch of stripe on a recent trip with S&S Guide Service! All of these fish, along with several not shown, were caught trolling white bucktail jigs with downriggers. See picture @ http://www.ssguideservice.com/index3.html
