With Guntersville being so hot all spring, I haven't been able to get anywhere else. I did go to Wilson yesterday. Willow flys were everywhere in the trees over the bluffs and steep banks. Smallies, LM and stripe are going after them. We threw store boughts for smallies and caught 22. Caught both smallies and LM on small cranks and finesse worms on a slider head. Bluffs, sea walls and points in the mid-river were best. Stripe were on fire in the tail races on a smoke 3" tube over a 1/4oz head. Caught a few smallies in the tail races but mostly stripe up there for us. Most of the bass were in the 13-14 inch range, but lots of action. Should be a good summer if the pattern holds up. We were unable to find any catchable threadfin.
