Saturday, sunday and monday seemed to be the days to be out around Decatur. There were lots of flies out, but most were staying in the trees. They often look like dead grey leaves hanging on the trees when they are thick and not flying.

I know what you mean about shaking the branches. (grin) About the size of the bream, well, I really don't know. I know there are good sized bream in Wheeler, but they just seem a lot harder to find than on Guntersville. It may have something to do with the higher level of stain that Wheeler almost always has in comparison to G'ville, but I really don't know. Probably has more to do with knowing where to go on Wheeler to find the big ones. Maybe someone will tell us... (grin)

I went out this afternoon to the same areas I fished this weekend and there not nearly as many flies, but there were still lots of small and medium sized bream and a scant few small bass and stripe.
