The best time to fish for cat's seems to be around 1 to 2 hrs before sundown(only my opinion).
I've heard chuming an area 1 to 2 hrs before you fish it works(i've not tried it myself). I've fished at night just below a dam and it worked nicely. Nightcrawlers work great but frys really don't give the big cats the time to get to it. Chicken livers has worked great for me, but it gets to be a pain having to bait up again after only a nibble. If that is your choice I suggest buying some panty hose to place the livers in. I've searched the web looking for the way to land big cats. The only thing that is predominate in the pages of these fellows is shad. To sum it up,
whomever you speak to will give you a different answer as to how to land them. The only real way to find out the answer is to experiment for yourself. Sorry this has been long. Thanks for your time and good luck.
