Fished Seibold Creek area from 6-11 AM,today's the first time I've ever really spent any time in it.Now the ramp at the campground has a dock so you don't have to run you boat up on the bank. Anyway,it was very slow for me fishing wise, just tried to hit some spots that looked good on the map, where shallow grassy water was close to deeper water. Tried topwater early w/o a bite, caught my one and only bass, 16.5",on a smokin' blue Centipede Carolina rigged. It was on a grassy hump, probably about 6-8 feet deep. Tried slow rolling a 1 oz TJ Special spinnerbait as I like to do that, but no action. Also tried pitching a few docks. Water was quite clear in this area, could see the bottom 4 ft down, and was 75-76 degrees. As best I could tell they weren't pulling water. It's pretty darn frustrating when you hit a great fishery in May and don't do so hot!Did catch 3 sunfish on Strike King's new Bitsy Pond Minnow crankbait-a great ultralight crankbait.
