Went out for about an hour with my nephew this afternoon. I must have caught over 40 nice bluegill while he caught only 3 (released all fish). We were in the same boat, using the same bait and hook size, fishing the same depth, and fishing in the same spot. The only difference was I was using a very small cork (a shy bite by Thill) with a single BB split shot and he was using a crappie size cork with more weight. He did not have sunscreen or anything else on his hands. Would the cork size and rate of fall make THAT much difference? Could it be the resistance felt against a larger cork? This is not the first time it's happened, either. Anyone have any ideas?
