Fished this afternoon (Mon.) about 3 hours before dark. My buddy and I had 38 NICE keepers. 14 were shellcracker 10"-11" long (better than most of the FEW crappie I caught this spring) and all were males except 1 female EXPLODING with eggs. The other 24 were BIG bullhead bream all males except 2 females full of eggs. The 'Crackers are definately trying to bed with the bluegills not far behind. We caught another 20-25 that would have been keepers on a normal day but just were too small looking next to the bigger ones we already had. Used crickets and worms (sorry Kerry) with equal amounts of fish caught on both. Though a few more Shellcracker were caught on worms, the biggest ones came on crickets. Fish were 4-6 ft. deep and we were fishing on Wheeler.
