First, the Y is a great spot to fish. I am excited about flippin' on the stumps over the summer.

If you are interested in spots/redeye, try the drop-offs around the mouth of Limestone Creek, near the I65 bridges. I have used bear-hair jigs with small pork trailer to catch them. Also, there are a ton of them off the rip-rap at Ditto Landing. They are accessible from bank or boat. Finally, give the barges around Bungee, 3M, and Trico a try with a tube bait or 4" grub. You'll nail several species doing that... I've hooked, Hybrids, Spots, Large and Smallmouth Bass. Hope these Spot spots(ha) work for you. If you try them let me know how you did.
