I can't say if it was the cold snap or just that the crappie are just about done, but it was a very slow day for me. I tried trolling jigs in Beulah Bay (sp?) this morning until around 2pm. Nothing for me. A friend managed 4 crappie and one cat trolling minnows. Marked fish anywhere from 2 to 5 feet deep in 6 feet of water. Around 2pm, trailered the boat and headed for Flint. Put in on Hwy 31 and fished several spots almost down to Hwy67. Nothing except one approx. 3# largemouth.

Tomorrow may be better since the forecast is for calmer winds and a little warmer temps.

Measured 61 degrees morning surface temps and about 63 to 65 degrees in Beulah Bay by 2pm. 62-64 on Flint until about 4:30pm.

Good luck!
