Our shad die-off this past winter was due to extremely cold water temps-threadfin shad dont handle real cold water very well at all. I think it was back in january when we had the big die-off, I remember the water temp being 38 and colder for several days in a row. I dont know why ya'll have a spring die-off, unless it has something to do with a spring turnover and lowered oxygen levels in the water. The shad die-off here should make for better fishing for sure!
