We fished the lower end of Smith Lake today on Ryan Creek, Lick Creek, and Racoon Creek. We fished from 6:00 a.m. until about 11:30 a.m.. The only bass we found was in Lick Creek and that ONE was very small. Caught him on a spinner bait. Fished several points up Ryan Creek and found fish holding off of deep points anywhere from 25 to 50 feet deep. We fished deep diving crank baits, sassy shad, worms, etc. with no luck. The water is 3.5 feet over full but clear on the lower end of Ryan Creek. Racoon Creek stained but not in bad shape at all. Hope someone else had better luck than we did but oh what a day to be on the water! Quiet a bit of thash floating on the water so be careful.
