Although it was an extremely nice day, low wind, plenty of sun and warm, my fishing partner and I didn't have much luck with the crappie. We started out at the pumps in Decatur just before daylight. Didn't catch anything, but 2 other folks caught 3 total. Moved to Flint on hwy 67 and managed to catch one keeper and released it. Decided to take out the boat and went to the stump field west of hwy 31 and the "Y". Caught 2 fair crappie soon after getting into the Y, but that was IT! Tried several other places nearby with absolutely no luck. Trailered the boat and parked it, then took a break.
Late this afternoon tried at the pumps again until 7pm. Saw a couple of small crappie caught, but not much more than that. Muddy water is filtering into most places although the water temps seem to be coming back up in some places. Looks like it may continue to be tough, but you never know... Good luck!
