We had a little rain recently and Flint is up about 1.5 feet or so, muddy and strong current right now. Good news is that the water temps I measured today from the bank ranged from 55 to 65 degrees. Yes, I did find 65 degrees in one spot where water was flowing out of a culvert, but I doubt it was that high in the surrounding waters.
Anyway, I would concentrate on shallow mud flats around stumps and old lilypad stems. Fish should be coming up into 1-3 feet of water with these temps. However, rain is expected again by thursday, so who knows what they will be doing by this weekend. I tried from the bank in several places today with very little luck.
Good luck and good fishin'!
