I am finding some on Wheeler. Mainly fishing laydowns near main channels and creek channels. Fishing 1/16th oz jigs tightline using bass assassins and artificial crawdads of various colors. Pumpkin seed, chartreuse/woodpecker(red), auburn and white have worked, but it doesn't seem to make that much difference if you find the fish. Hit is coming mainly from 6-10 feet deep. Surface temps are ranging from 47-52 degrees. I have heard of higher temps on Wheeler lately, but haven't measured anything above 52 lately myself. I have even caught a few in shallow pockets under a cork fishing from 1-2 feet deep, but most fish have been caught in the 6-10 foot range.
Good luck and good fishin'!
