Crappie at Guntersville are really moving shallow right now. Fish are holding in 4 foot of water or less. Concentrate on the North side of river and fish the backend of pockets that have grass and stumps. Fish are taking minnows under a cork and the jig bite is fantastic. After this cold snap it is only going to take a couple of days and the crappie will start their spawning routine. Water temperature is in the high 50's and low 60's in some places. If fishing a cork, the depth is 20 inches or less. Fish will come up to get the jig. Good luck and wear those life jackets.
