Been fishing from a stick steering glastron/50 hp mercury for 35 years. Love it and 2 years ago gave this boat to my brother who continues to fish it regularily. I made a trip to Shreveport,La. to purchase my new boat which was closest to what I was replacing. Find it to be very safe and have few problems with spray. You must back off throttle to make major turns but I fish a lot with my wife and older friends who require me to do most of the controls and this works out great. Not everyone chooses to speed to their fishing spot. Good Luck with your choice.
