I use mostly 16th ounce jig heads, and I have them made with a #4 Sickle hooks. I also use the #4 Sickle hooks in my 32nd heads. I love these Sickle hooks for crappie!! They have got to be the sharpest hooks I have ever seen in my life! It will go right through your finger nail if your not careful (don't ask!), not sure if it's the shape of the hook, but almost every crappie I have caught useing these hooks, they have been hooked right in the roof of the mouth, and the lost fish, and missed hit fish, have declined. For me, anyway. Good luck finding them though....
