Swoope Pond has a blue hole in it that on very calm days you can actually see the water boiling up. People have tried swimming down to it but the pressure of the water coming out will actually push you back up.
Years past the people that lived there near the lake would help clear out the creek that leads all the way to the lake. Lots of fallen trees from storms and debris. Very difficult to reach in a bass boat.
You can load a boat on the make shift ramp behind the house there at Swoope Pond. If you notice on the map there are actually 3 ponds that feed Spring Creek, and even a Spring located within the creek itself. Highly recommend getting a good topo or using a GPS loaded map for your boats electronics. This time of year will be very difficult to get a boat in there at all.
