I had never caught a smallmouth bass before and my first trip with this guide, I caught my first smallmouth, sauger, and striped bass.
I've fished with Carl Boaz below Wheeler Dam for smallmouths two times and was very blessed by his company and expertise. He is a no nonsense type of guy, a good Alabama fan and a political conservative-no liberal Democrats need apply!
We caught lots of fish both times, last time, seven smallmouths between us, 2 about five pounds.
I would highly recommend this man to anyone interested in catching some great fish.
