There's a big runabout (walk-thru)hull and engine in a Decatur scrap yard. I estimate the hull to be a 20 footer. It's stripped of interior. I have not seen this boat up close.
The scrap yard has it on a mountain of junk....as if it were being displayed to passersby as a "good boat". If anybody wants a BIG runabout hull to make a super-dooper cat boat...might want to check this out. It's at the old Nelson's Iron and Metal Yard....on the west side of Highway 31 between Decatur and Hartselle. Don't know the current business name or phone. Might be Nelson's old phone.
