Well actually instead of a strobe, more like a flashing light. Kinda like how motorcycles are these days with the taillights that flash and even some have a flashing headlight. It's easy for a steady light to blend right in especially in unfamiliar areas.
I wonder how a telephone pole managed to make it's way to the river, unless we're talking about one of those creosote poles from a dock. It's amazing how today's boats are built to float even if completely full of water, even with a 300+ pound motor weighing it down. Easy to see why I try to avoid hazardous areas since aluminum don't float.
Ya'll have a Merry Xmas and Happy New Year too! Keep an eye out for me, I'm hoping Santa brings me a new fishfinder to play with.
