I finally got out to try the panfish assassin for crappie and what do you know, they work! Caught about ten crappie 10" to 12" and some white bass on them using a 1/8 ounce jig head. I also caught a couple on minnows. Fishing about 8 feet of water by the docks on the Arsenal. I also caught a 15" jack on a large tuffy fished on a floating jig head on a 8" leader with a 1/2 ounce slip sinker, also fishing fairly shallow. My buddy was tearing up the white bass on a pearl slider. Nothing real big, ten to twelve inches. He was just casting them on a 3/8 ounce jig and slowly cranking it back just above bottom. Well anyway, I was really impressed with the assassins, it took a minute to get the feel for the bite, watched the line mostly and set the hook when it jumped. I tried fishing it under a float and got several hits but could not set the hook on them, caught all of them tight lining it.
