Thanks for the reply! Since I haven't had a temp gauge until now, I was also wondering if the surface temps have risen from the mid 40's in the last few days due to the rain or were they already in the lower 50's before the "big rain" event? Using my "how long can I hold my hand in the water before it really feels cold" technique used to be reliable (within 2 or 3 degrees), but I am getting older and don't trust such methods anymore. (grin)

I was guess-timating the surface temps on Wheeler to be from 45 to 48 before the big rain using that technique.
