I have found that the sauger start to bite about this time of year above the dam. I always worked the mouth of creek channels near the main Tennessee River channel..If that did not produce any sauger I went further back into the creek channel.. You really have to work the different depths of the creek channel to find the sauger about this time of year up in the lake..If the dam is pulling water, the sauger bite(in theory)should be better.. There is something about current and sauger bite that goes together.. Just my personal experience and 2 cents worth.... GOOD FISHING TO ALL..... Louis T.
