The bridges can be very productive this time of year, but "take a number"!
It gets pretty crowded around the bridges that are known to produce and if you don't get there VERY early (sometimes as early as 2am) you may have trouble getting a good spot. Not only for boaters, but bank fishermen too.
To all boaters, respect the bank fisherman's right to fish a spot, especially if they are there first. There are limited spots to catch fish from the bank and boaters have plenty of choices.
The boat houses and grass lines may produce numbers well, but my experience has been that the better quality crappie are still rather deep. From 10 to 25 feet deep on or near drop-offs and main channels. Having current present is a BIG plus!
