Not to mention:

I have seen the Wheeler WMA destroy at least 2 major spawning areas for not only crappie, but also bass, bream, chain pickerel, I could go on.

The 2 areas I speak of are the pumps area (Day Park, White's Spring to West Dike) and an area on Flint Creek that once was a free flowing backwater and major spawning area that now has a gate which is closed at critical times and has killed that spawning area as well.

The Wheeler WMA is very narrow minded and obtuse about their reasons for doing this. I guess they forgot that destroying one part of an ecosystem has a detrimental affect on the rest of it. I am just about positive that they would kill all the fish in the WWMA if they had more than half a wit that it might increase water fowl by 1% in the area. Thankfully, the people at the WWMA who make the decisions are only half-wits. LOL!

Good luck and good fishin'
