My friend and I are Minnesota boys who came down to Alabama last fall to play hockey at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Both of us have fished all our lives and since we are new to Alabama we do not know of anywhere to go fishing. Striper fishing sounds very appealing and we were wondering if we could find a guide to take us out on Smith Lake for some big Stripers. Our hockey season doesn't end until March and I was wondering if the Striper fishing is good during the month of March or April. Comments about a March or April Striper fishing trip would be much appreciated.
