For bass, I really prefer the upper end during the winter months. Areas from Seibold creek and up are usually good in the winter. Waterfront and Goosepond are good areas for winter bass. Sauger fishing is great on the main lake as well as below the dam from about Thanksgiving through Feb. depending on weather. (Big stripe and smallmouth below the dam as well). I do best for crappie on the low end during the winter/spring but do get some shallow up river. I can't think of a better area to retire! E.mail me anytime for info. T
