Yes they have a release clip, which the tension for is adjustable.The release clip has a swivel that ties to your line(I use 100lb braided spider wire) and there is a second swivel you tie your leader to your lure on,so obviously inline.You can also adjust them to troll slightly left or right. Size "0" is only about two ounces or so I'm guessing. A stiff catfish rod works great, and you need a way to measure how much line you let out. They include a reference chart to let you know how much line for how deep, you have to experiment. Cheap way to get way down.
