Keith your question is not dumb. When I say jigs I mean Bassassassins fished on a 1/16 ounze jig head. The color of the jig head is Flo red. The colors I have had luck on is bassassassins in crystal shad when the water is clear and chartruese/silver glitter when it is stained. Another choice is a red/chartruese tube jig. I have had real good luck fishing these under a very small cork about 18 inches deep. You said you were putting in at water front but I would concentrate down river around the seabold creek area. Fish the stump flats by the airport. The riprap is also a good place to start but you have to get there early. The bite slows way down around 9 AM. If you need anymore help just let me know.
