WTL, like C. Howell stated it is private property now days. The area you are talking about is great arrow head hunting. There are a lot of burial grounds in that area. I use to find a lot of artifacts in that area before it became illegal to hunt for them on TVA property. There was an area down on the south side by Redstone Arsenal that use to have a hunting club many years ago. When I use to arrowhead hunt, it was not uncommon to see several deer swimming the channel in that area to get away from hunters.
It seems that it is getting harder and harder to find land to hunt. I am very grateful that my brother-in-laws father owns 3100 acres down in Hackleburg Alabama (Marion County). It is great hunting down there.
