I'd probably have to agree with Sammie, Mitchell is a good reel in the $20-$30 range. I have never owned one of the Cabelas brand reels, but I do know that Pflueger makes the BPS spinners and some of the other baitcasters. I'd stay away from them if I could. Be careful about going on name brand alone though because I have an Abu Garcia spinner that only lasted 1 year, and the Shakespeare spinner I have is going on 7 years now. If it's going to be your primary reel and you want to spend a little more, I'd look at a Shimano or Daiwa. As with most of our "toys" you get what you pay for.
