The middle part of Wilson Lake with cut skipjack would be my suggestion for big blues, but you should probably try threadfins ... just in case.
Live, partially scaled 5-6" bluegill would be my bait of choice for big flatheads in the same area. You can have 50 per person in posession for use as bait, as long as they are caught legally with a hook. Catching bream in the tailraces during the summer is never a problem. Use crickets or worms around the riprap.
