I would say now has to be the start of the best time. I would watch the discharge schedule and go when they are pulling water. Drift fish in 15 to 30 or 40 feet of water keeping your bait on the bottom or as close to it as you can get. All catfish baits will work but I recommend roster livers, night crawlers or fiddle worms and shad. Keep the small fish and let the big-uns go. Expect to catch fish from a pound up to 25 or so. May and June are usually very good and July can be good if you can stand the heat. Good Luck. Post if you catch a bunch.
