Trapping is the way to go. Allen is right that you can educate these rodents quickly. The other problem you may have is if you are in a natural travel path. Each spring the 2 year olds get kicked out of the lodge. Each spring you may get a new group in and trapping may be a regular business at your place every couple of years. I used to trap them when I was in Kansas and still in the Army. If you were closer I'd offer my services but it's a little far from Huntsville and I have not got an AL nuisance liscence to trap furbearers out of season. If they are pluggin up your drain pipe there are some ways to change the pipe and have guards over them so the beavers can not jam them up. Your local Co-Op may have them in a catalog or something.
