Got out Friday for little while and put in at Browns creek/Arab side. Took about hour but found a shellcracker bed and ended up with 50. The fish averaged between 3/4 up to a pound. After cleaning them Saturday morning, I had about 10 at a pound and the rest were smaller (3/4). Started out fishing a keystone minnow and finished up with red worms. Fish were located in 3.5 feet of water and millfoil had to be present. Something you might want to look for is pieces of millfoil that are about 2 inches long and drifting with the current. You will be going along and all of a sudden you will start noticing large amounts of millfoil that are about 2 inches long and drifting with the current. Once you start seeing this, take note on which way the current is moving the millfoil and head in the opposite direction. Start looking for the milky spots in the millfoil. The best time to locate beds is from about 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The sun needs to be directly over head to prevent glare problems. You will also need a good pair of polarized sun glasses. I plan on hitting them hard this week and will report on each trip. Good luck and wear those life jackets. Water temp was 71 in Browns creek.
