Sorry for being a couple of days late on the post, but I thought it might still be informative.
Fished lower Lake G all day Friday w/ combination of live worms, crickets, minnows, small beetle spin crankbaits, and fly rod. Only small bream were biting all day long, but we found a single bed that yielded about 8 keeper bluegill and shellcracker. Some caught on fly rod and others about 12" deep on crickets. We saw several beds that had no fish on them.
On the crankbaits, the bream seemed to be most interested in a small (1/16oz) single-tail blue/chart. crankbait that I obtained from snags when crappie fishing the creeks last fall after the water went down.
Good luck and good fishin'. They sure are fun to catch if you can find 'em.
