FISH BELOW SMITH LAKE DAM, IT IS LOCATED ON THE CULLMAN WALKER COUNTY LINE, FROM I65 TAKE EXIT 299, HWY 69 TOWARD JASPER, ABOUT 13 MILES TO SIPSEY RIVER, THERE IS A TROUT FISHING GUIDE WHO HAS A GREAT FLY SHOP ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE RIVER HE WOULD BE ABLE TO SET YOU UP WITH A TRIP.
IF YOU DONT WANT TO GO WITH A GUIDE CORN FISHED ON THE BOTTOM AT THE DAM WILL GET YOU A LIMIT, I FIND THAT FRIDAY NIGHT HAS BEEN A GOOD TIME TO GO THE WATER IS NORMALY NOT RUNNING THEN BUT I WOULD CHECK WITH ALABAMA POWER ABOUT THEIR RUNNING TIMES; I HAVE A 14 YEAR OLD SON HE LOVES TO GO FISH WITH CORN AT THE DAM. WE HAVE BOUGHT FLY RODS AND WILL BE TRYING FLY FISHING THIS YEAR. HOPE YOUR PROBLEM WITH YOUR NECK WILL WORK OUT OK HOPE THIS INFO IS HELPFUL.
GOOD LUCK DAVID
