I just got back and spent 12 hours drifting live baits and trolling crank baits. We caught a boat load of drum, 10 white bass and some were nice size, but no stripers, hybrids, smallmouth, or catfish. We talked to several who had always had success here in April and everyone was puzzled. I measured water temp at 66-67 F. Worst day I have ever had on river below Wheeler. My son-in-law drove 1100 miles just to fish the tailraces. Back to Gunterville tomorrow. We did so so there yesterday, but in 2 hours we had 10 1.5-2# whites.
