I think that sampling time of year, depth, and location can skew the results. If they sampled the same last year as they did last week, they did so in what I'd call a largemouth section of Little Bear, Elliotts Branch. Sampling in specific locations can get you the results your after and most folks gauge a lake by the largemouth numbers.
Look at Wilson, for example, they only harvested 13 crappie, but no one would dispute that Wilson is a good Crappie lake.
What would be the results of the study if they sampled only the submerged humps and shell mounds on Pickwick. You'd probably think there weren't any largemouth there at all, that's smally country.
