Those little boogers you are catching were spawned in the Tenn river .TVA will tell you they havent stocked any stripers in 20 years and the DNR only worries about the Bass population on the up side of the dam(Gville lake). The springs out of Paint rock river and a few other places down river coupled with the gravel bottoms near them are perfect for the true striper to spawn. The hybrids cannot reproduce as they are triploids in their genes, they fire blanks when it comes to the spawn although the females do make a bunch of eggs (GRIN)The DNR didnt think the salts could spawn here in our waters but nature surprised them .Look at Weiss lake they spawn like crazy up little river canyon and have taken over the lake ,even the big limits havent slowed them down over there !! SOmeone didnt do their home work when they stocked them there !!
