Since I am a crappie "nut", especially this time of year, I can't give you the best info on bass. But, I have caught several smaller largemouth (a change from the spots I was catching a few weeks ago) while fishing for crappie on Flint. Biggest lmb was only about 1.5 pounds, but they were taken in 3-8 feet of water. I haven't seen any surface activity from the bass yet, so I can't say whether they are really moving up yet or not. My guess is that the water temps are still a few degrees low for them to turn on heavy on Wheeler at least.
Maybe a bass "nut" will reply with better info... (smile)
