I ve caught a few on flies behind the dam. My favorites are a fathead bug olive. Olive wooly booger small about 1/2 inch long. I ve been told to fish a salmon egg fly for your first try but havent tried for my self. One tip if you plan on trying it out i highly recomend a float tube or canoe/kayak or waders it makes the flyfishing soooooo much easier. Not much opportunity for flyfishing from the bank. Keep your leaders to less than 4lb test. Dont forget to stop by the fly shop and ask what the hot fly is.
Be sure and carry a few streamer flys for shad they are running this time of the year if the water starts running you can catch them.
