I do 2 types of trolling.

long lining where I throw the jigs out the back. 16th ounce jigs at one mile an hour run about 6-8 feet deep. Tip with either minnow, or crappie niblets. Or, if they are biting well, don't tip at all.

THe other way in tight lining. Tie on a heavy weight at the end of the line with a 2 hooks pegged about the weight about a foot apart. This is called bottom bumping, or a catfish rig. Slowly move around the creek channel edges waiting for them to strike.
