cedars are a good tree to sink if you want a long lasting reef but we have found that it takes longer to get fish on them than say a willow or any bushy tree such as a small oak or maple.Sadly the white crappie in the lake is so decimated that few will beon the tops anyway a few of the speckled black crappie will show up in late fall when they finally decide to leave the concrete bridges.we have found that 15 feet depth works the best near a deeper channel to sink a tree near it !
