Welcome to Bama!!!
Lake Tuscaloosa can really produce some great days of crappie fishing. I put in at the bridge on Hwy 43 North.
If you have a lake map you will notice several islands. The island just to the South of the ramp has produced a few 2 lbers for me. At the southern tip of the island is a large flat about 3-4 foot deep with grass. This flat is just off the deep old river channel.
I also fish the North River that feeds into the lake. I mainly fish with jigs. At times the roadrunner jigs will really wear them out.
BTW.... on Lake T you will be stopped by the water patrol. Make sure you are following all regs and all crappie are over 9". They will warn you if you have any paper or cans that could fly out of the boat when riding down the lake. They are strict!!!!
